Senator Richard J. Ross of Wrentham represents the Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex District, which consists of 12 cities and towns. He is currently serving as the Ranking Member on the Senate Committee on Ways and Means and Minority Whip in the Massachusetts Senate. As one of three Republicans in the Massachusetts Senate, Senator Ross serves on eleven legislative committees, including the Senate Committee on Ways and Means, the Joint Committee on Education, and the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, among others.Sen Ross


Senator Ross is no stranger to public service or to the unique needs of his district. Prior to being elected to the Senate, Senator Ross served in the House of Representatives from 2004 to 2010. From 1999 to 2003, Senator Ross also served on the Wrentham Board of Selectmen, one of those years as Chairman. In addition, he has served on other boards and committees, including the Wrentham Historical Commission, the Public School Building Committee and the Wrentham Board of Health.


Senator Ross has been involved with numerous organizations over the years, including Pond Home and the Community at Pond Meadow, the Kennedy Donovan Center in Foxboro, the Wrentham Cooperative Bank, the Hockomock Area YMCA, and the 495/MetroWest Partnership.


Senator Ross is the owner of R.J. Ross Funeral Home in Wrentham, where he resides with his family.
